August 2, 2007 - Joe Woodard to present two seminars for Intuit in the fall of 2007. Joe Woodard will present again this year during Intuit's annual QuickBooks update tour. This annual update tour is a free, four-hour live seminar that focuses on the new features of QuickBooks as well as any changes to the QuickBooks Product line or ancillary services provided by Intuit for QuickBooks users. The second session is a full day, intermediate-level event. The details of this session are not yet published. Check back later for more information about this intermediate event. See the 2007 Schedule for a list of cities where Joe will present these seminars. (Note: the seminars will be in multiple cities throughout the U.S. Joe is one of many instructors who will teach these seminars.)

July 30, 2007 - Joe Woodard to develop a 1.5 hour Webcast for Intuit on the new features of QuickBooks 2008. Each year Joe co-authors an article on the new features of QuickBooks. This year Joe will write this article for Intuit as part of a 1.5 hour Webcast on the subject. As with previous years, Joe will still make the article available for download through this Website and will probably present CFS-sponsored Webinars on the new features of QuickBooks 2008 as well. The Webcast schedule will post to the 2007 Schedule Calendar page of this Website soon, along with a link to the Intuit site where you can register for these events.

March 17, 2007 - Joe Woodard invited to represent Intuit at various accounting technology shows throughout the U.S. Each year for the past 4 years, Joe Woodard has presented training on QuickBooks at various accounting shows throughout the U.S. These sessions are either presented the day before the show begins - at an Intuit sponsored "pre-show" - or they are during the conference. The topics are usually intermediate level QuickBooks training. This year Joe will present the Top 10 QuickBooks Tips - a sneak peak at the book Joe will publish this year called, Top 100 QuickBooks Tips, Tricks and Workarounds. Joe will also present on topics developed in previous years like "How to Bill $1,000 per hour with QuickBooks." See the 2007 Schedule for more information about these sessions and which topics Joe will present at each event.

February 15, 2007 - Joe Woodard invited to present at Intuit's second annual Enterprise Solutions User Conference, in San Diego California. Intuit has invited Joe to speak again at the 2nd annual QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions User Conference in San Diego, CA - June 12-14, 2007. The Enterprise Solutions conference is designed especially for businesses with more than one million in annual sales. Topics include intermediate to advanced QuickBooks training as well as general topics for the small business like CRM, inventory controls, and human resource issues for businesses with 25 or more employees. Joe will teach a session on tools with the Enterprise Solution product to help you manage the year end process (e.g. year-end adjustments, fixed asset depreciation, and customization of financial statements). Joe will also present on using Enterprise Solutions to streamline the sale of inventory. The topic will cover Enterprise forms and tools to manage quotes, sales orders, pick tickets, packing slips, shipments and back orders.

January 31, 2007 - Joe Woodard contracts with Intuit to redesign the sample product-based company file (Rock Castle Construction) that Intuit includes with all editions of QuickBooks Pro, Premier and Enterprise Solutions. The sample product based company (Rock Castle Construction) is one of the two sample data files that Intuit has included with the QuickBooks product for over ten years. CFS will work closely with Intuit to rework the existing data and to add new transactions and modify the setup of the sample company files to enhance the financial reports and to make the files even more useful for new QuickBooks users and QuickBooks trainers  - who use the sample data files for classroom examples. The changes will also help QuickBooks authors who use Rock Castle Construction as the sample company in QuickBooks technical materials.

January 15, 2007 - Joe Woodard is one of the first consultant's in the country to earn the new Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation. As a presenter and co-author of both live and web-based Advanced Certification training, Joe Woodard quickly met all of the training requirements to become an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. This special designation is reserved for ProAdvisors who are certified in at least the last three versions of QuickBooks (versions 2005, 2006 and 2007), and who have attended 2 days of live training and 8 hours of web-based training provided by Intuit. Wendy Rohrssen of CFS will meet all of the training requirements by the end of February 2007 and will also earn this Advanced Certified ProAdvisor designation. Both Joe and Wendy have certified in QuickBooks version 1999 through 2007.

December 15, 2006 - Joe Woodard to write and present one of four Advanced Certification courses for members of Intuit's Certified ProAdvisor program. Joe authored 25% of the training materials for Intuit's new Advanced QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor program. For the web-based training, Joe wrote a two-hour session entitled Troubleshooting Your Clients Top Ten QuickBooks Issues. The course covers 10 areas of your clients data files that you need to analyze and possibly adjust so that the financial statements produced by QuickBooks will be accurate. You can then use these accurate financial statements to prepare the client's income tax return and to present financial statements in compliance with GAAP - perhaps using the fully integrated reporting tool called Financial Statement Designer. The troubleshooting course is very technical and is designed for accounting professionals with at least three years of QuickBooks consulting experience. This course includes a 107 troubleshooting manual. You can use this manual as a resource when adjusting your clients' QuickBooks data files.
